Dalgety Bay Sailing Club welcomes new members and currently has vacancies for both sailing and social memberships.

Prospective new members may obtain an application pack from the Clubhouse during opening hours or by contacting the membership secretary on membership@dalgetybaysc.org. The applicant should complete the form and return it to the membership secretary together with the appropriate payment as detailed in the application pack. On receipt the details of an application will be circulated to the management committee and will also be posted on the club notice board for a period of at least two weeks for the information of all members. The membership secretary will inform successful applicants and supply them with a membership card, a copy of the club handbook and any other relevant material.

The structure of fees affective 1st April 2012 was agree at the recent 2011 AGM (rescheduled as an EGM). Membership fees are due for payment on 1st April.  The cut off date for renewal of membership is 31st March. Any person not paying their renewal fees by 1st June will cease to be a member and should rejoin as a new member(paying the appropriate joining fee).

Membership Class 2012 Annual Renewal Fee
Sailing £170
Sailing & Spouse £225
Family Sailing £275
Life £0
Junior £33
Social £45
Social & Spouse £84
Outport £22

With escalating costs we have found it necessary to increase 2012 subscriptions but would hope to be able to hold them at this level beyond the year end.
The committee has been tasked with significantly reducing costs this year and we will commit to cutting costs, but not members services, over the next six months. This may mean changes to the current status quo but would appreciate members feedback ,and indeed assistance, in implementing these changes for the benefit of the membership as a whole.
Please do remember that the members  annual subscriptions are used to cover the annual overheads; while they still fall just a little short of this annual spend we anticipate that through prudent spending, fundraising, and other income streams, the club will be able to provide value for money to its members and provide good facilities to encourage time on the water and social activities.
