Spot the difference!

Those members with a keen eye for change will have noted a number of brightly coloured sails that have appeared around the club over the summer months.  Following the renewal of our safety and coach boat fleet, attention turned to the training fleet. The new boats are the result of initiatives to enhance and renew our training fleet enabling us to provide additional training spaces and race experience, primarily for youth sailors.  With support from a range of organisations, we will have been able to acquire over £23,000 worth of boats for a club outlay of £5,000!  Our grateful thanks are due to the following organisations, who we have now added to our website page for Friends and Supporters https://dbscweb.wordpress.com/dbsc/friends-of-dbsc/
Sportscotland, Eric Twiname Trust, Shell UK, Baillie Gifford Fund Managers and ExxonMobil.  Their support is essential in allowing the club to deliver on its strategy to reduce the costs of entry to our sport and attract new sailors.
You can see from the photos (courtesy of Liz Tulloch) below that the new Tera fleet has been particularly well received by our younger members as they progress from beginner level.
