2014 AGM Advanced Notice

Dear Member

This note is to let you all know about the upcoming annual general meeting (AGM) of the sailing club. These are often regarded as stuffy affairs, but are necessary to run our club appropriately. It is therefore vital that people take the time and turn out for the AGM, because we have to make sure we have the required representative percentage of the total voting members in order to approve resolutions for the coming year.

We also have some vacant posts, so if you would like to get involved and help run / develop your club for the future, now is your chance. We need to find a –

Commodore

Vice Commodore

Rear Commodore Training

Rear Commodore Shore

Marketting and Communications Officer

Please contact me directly if you would be interested in standing for one of these posts, or follow the process to nominate somebody by filling out the appropriate form. Remember, nominations must be received by the Secretary no later than 7 days prior to the AGM.

Please do make the time and come along to the AGM, so we can make this a success and continue moving our club forward.

Thanks

John Sim
