Raft, Winter Moorings and Rock Marks

Most of the keelboats are now ashore and the work to lift moorings at Aberdour has been completed so it is time Glenda came out of the water for her winter makeover. To minimise wear and tear and allow us to make a start on the steelwork repairs we intend to bring her ashore as soon as possible and certainly by the end of October.  Before then if anyone needs to fit their winter mooring using the raft please make arrangements to do this. Remember by lowering your mooring to the seabed on a sinkable rope with a temporary buoy you will avoid significant corrosion and increase the life of your mooring. The sea temperature is at it warmest at the end of summer and hence corrosion rate at its highest.

Before the raft comes ashore we will need to lift the Thank Rock and Longcraig rock markers for their annual overhaul so please be aware of this for the remaining dinghy racing.
